ATKINS’ GLAD TO BE BACK

MARK ATKINS says he is delighted to be back in charge of Matlock Town – after nearly ten years away.
Atkins, a former Premiership title winner with Blackburn Rovers, enjoyed a six-year spell in charge of the Gladiators from November 2008 and September 2014.
Now, he is back in the hotseat at the NPL Premier club following the departure of boss Martin Carruthers this week, named as joint interim boss alongside Adam Yates.
