Match Preview: Dover Athletic v Yeovil Town (Saturday, 3pm)

Dover Athletic are on a poor run ahead of hosting Yeovil Town at the Perrys Crabble Stadium on Saturday, with just four points collected from their last six games.

The Whites have picked up one win and one draw in their last six National League South games, and face a Yeovil side whose last six games have brought four wins and two losses.

Dover are bottom of the table after 45 games, of which they have won four and drawn 15, earning 27 points.

Yeovil are 23 places ahead of Athletic in top spot, with 28 wins and eight draws putting them on 92 points.

With 39 goals in 45 games so far this season, the Whites are the league’s lowest scorers with 0.9 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 74 goals at a rate of 1.6 per game.

Town, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 1.7 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.4. They have conceded 1.0 goal per game.

In the last 10 years, Dover and Yeovil have played each other on six occasions. Dover won one of them, Yeovil three, and they drew twice.

On average, the Whites scored 0.8 goals and Yeovil 1.5 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on November 11, when Yeovil won 2-0 at home.

Dover’s last match was on Tuesday, a 1-0 loss against Truro City.

Yeovil beat Dartford 3-1 last time out, on April 13.
