Blues suffer turgid end to sad season

THESE sides played out a turgid 90 minutes of end-of-season football at the Deva Stadium, with the game devoid of passion, flair and clear opportunities.
A cynic could be forgiven for thinking that they where in a down-market Karaoke Bar rather than a football stadium, such was the high level of off-key football movement and out-of-tune passing.
The trend was set early on when Chester’s Tom Peers sliced the ball wide after 90 seconds, with only visiting keeper Matty Young to beat.
