Northern Premier League Midlands Division play-offs round-up

Anstey Nomads and Harborough Town will contend the Pitching In Northern Premier Midlands Division play-off final.

Both had to work had to progress in their home ties on Tuesday. Anstey recovered from a goal down to overcome Quorn, who ended with 10 men. Paddy Webb, Jordan Annable and Nyle Blake netted to earn a 3-1 win in a Leicestershire derby success.

Harborough Town, whose six-point deduction saw them drop from first to third in the latter stages of the season, progressed 4-2 on penalties against Hinckley LRFC following a 1-1 draw after extra time.

Anstey are eyeing up a second successive promotion with the winners guaranteeing a spot in Step 3 for the first time in their history.

The final takes place on Saturday May 4 at Anstey’s Cropston Road ground, KO 3pm.
