JJ Lacey rejoins Berkhamsted

JJ Lacey

Pitching In Southern Central Premier side Berkhamsted have re-signed JJ Lacey from Biggleswade Town.

The attacking midfielder was last season’s FA Cup Golden Boot winner, scoring 10 goals in qualifying rounds.

He carried out the match ball prior to the 2024 Emirates FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Manchester United, and was presented with the Golden Ball award by former United striker Dion Dublin.

This will be Lacey’s third spell for Berkhamsted. He initially joined from Leverstock Green in November 2018 before switching to Step 2 Hemel Hempstead Town 18 months later. He returned to the Comrades in January 2022 before spending last season with Biggleswade Town, winning Southern League Division One Central.

Berkhamsted have swapped places with Town. They’ll start next season in Step 4.
