FOR the last few years, it has become a tradition to open the season with the United Counties League Groundhop during the last weekend in July.
This GroundhopUK event guarantees at least six matches in one weekend, so is the perfect kick-start to the new campaign.
The Friday night entertainment comes in the form of Aylestone Park v Coventry United in Premier Division South. All six grounds on the Hop this weekend are revisits, though I haven’t been to some for years and others I haven’t seen in daylight.
