LATE DRAMA saw honours even in a feisty clash in which Magpies’ keeper Matt Urwin was the hosts’ hero of the hour.
A sedate first half in which Chorley held the upper hand gave no indication of the fireworks which lit up the last quarter. After failing to convert half-chances, Chorley took the lead after 28 minutes. A switch by Joe Nolan found Adam Blakeman in space and he drove on before whipping an unstoppable shot into the right corner from 20 yards.
