NEEDHAM MARKET’S first Step 2 home game ended in a harsh defeat at home to Southport.
The first chance though arrived at the other end, as Danny Lloyd-McGoldrick saw his shot swatted over by Stuart Garnham.
Jamie McGrath then fired a shot wide, before Lloyd-McGoldrick saw his shot blocked.
Needham grew into the first half well, Kyle Hammond fired a low strike just wide into the side-netting on 21 minutes, while Kyle Hammond curled a free-kick into the top corner to give Needham a first National League North goal and a half-time lead...
