ASHFORD TOWN 0 HERNE BAY 2

■ IN a game that was totally dominated by Herne Bay, they opened the scoring in the tenth minute with some great build-up play topped off with a goal by Frankie Smith.
They doubled the lead ten minutes later when the Ashford player brought down their attacker in the box. The penalty was taken only to be disallowed as the taker struck the ball twice.
Herne bay doubled the lead after 36 minutes when a corner was headed in by Michael Salako.
