BEDFORD returned to the Eyrie for the first time this season after delays in installing their new pitch, but it wasn’t plain sailing as lightning and rain tore down before kick-off, prompting a 40-minute delay.
That didn’t seem to faze the home side, as they only took until the third minute to score, when Rob Howard took advantage of a loose ball in the area to sweep the ball past Dale Eve.
