ROBBIE Savage’s Macclesfield progressed in the FA Cup with a thumping victory over Witton Albion at the Leasing. com Stadium.
Braces from Danny Elliott, Edy Maieco plus goals from John Rooney and Justin Johnson secured Macc’s place in the fourth qualifying round for the second time since reforming.
Rooney got the opener for the hosts as his near post flick from Tre Pemberton’s cross, beat the dive of Albion captain Danny Roberts.
