MICKY MELLON claimed that his Oldham Athletic side had ‘blown away’
Halifax Town at a blustery Boundary Park.
A brace from in-form striker Mike Fondop, coupled with a Josh Lundstram tap-in and a Scott High own goal was enough to put Latics in the hat for the first round of the FA Cup, despite goals from Billy Waters and Joe Cummins making the scoreline more respectable for Chris Millington’s visitors.
