TAUNTON ended Basingstoke’s unbeaten start to the season.
Stoke started the strongest, hitting the post inside a minute through George Reid and controlling the first half hour.
Liam Ferdinand and Rudy Allen both shot narrowly off target as the hosts failed to make their supremacy count.
