A SOLITARY goal from centre-back Dean Gunner earned Merstham three points and left Lancing just above the relegation zone.
After parting ways with manager Jamie Hollis, Lancing started brightly, threatening down the left flank with Noel Fisher’s powerful runs. They forced several saves from Merstham’s keeper, while a curled effort from Knory Scott rattled the crossbar. A goal from Taishae Andall Gibbons was ruled out for offside, adding to their frustration before Gunner seized on a loose ball in the box after a corner in the 71st minute.
