AN 81st-minute goal from Kamani McFarlane decided the match against Gorleston in Witham’s favour.
Gorleston took the lead in the 24th minute though Alby Matthews after a free-kick for handball on the left.
Isaac Skubich equalised just before the end of a first half in which there could have been a lot more goals.
Callum Fitzer hit a post for Witham but Gorleston paid the price for missed chances in the first half-hour. performance.
Witham had keeper Harry Fairs to thank when he saved twice within two minutes.
