A LTHOUGH this game was billed as a “Top of the Table” clash, neither Exmouth or Evesham were able to assert control, with a heavy pitch and swirling wind hampering both teams’ efforts.
The first half was a scrappy affair, with defences largely untested and few chances created.
For Exmouth, returning Ben Steer, freshly resigned from Tavistock, had an early chance but his shot was straight at Alex Harris in the Evesham goal.
