HIGH-FLYING Bedford Town were given a painful lesson by Spalding United as the Lincolnshire side stunned their hosts at The Eyrie.
Their direct style put the Eagles defence to the sword, and it was soon paying very handsome dividends.
After a couple of good saves from Adam Harrison, the Tulips took the lead on the half-hour with a curling shot from Kieron Freeman.
