■NEWCASTLE did all the work in the fifirst half to take all three points against Stafford.
The opener came after 44 minutes through the boot of Carlos Dos Santos, who picked out a top corner with a free-kick from a tight angle.
Ty Webster grabbed a second two minutes later, beating his man and slotting it into his far corner.
The visitors made changes at half time, and Zidan Sutherland – on loan from Hednesford – gave then hope of a comeback with tidy fifinish on the turn.
