■ TABLE-toppers Widnes were forced to settle for a point at home to neighbours Runcorn.
Michael Ellison’s team had plenty of chances but it was hard to argue against the result.
Widnes dominated the fifirst half hour, with Louis Isherwood hitting the bar and Sean Miller shooting over from a good position.
And they deserved their lead when it came after 29 minutes when Jack McGowan fifired home after Bayleigh Passant denied James Steele.
