■ THE match fifinished level but, after a secondminute goal by Jacob Fallaise for Guernsey, Southall spent the next 88 minutes pounding the visitors’ goal without much success.
The home team had numerous chances but were thwarted by resolute defending, excellent goalkeeping by Guernsey’s Sebastian Shepherd and their own profligacy.
The did get one goal, after 56 minutes through Brendan Matthew. Southall also missed a penalty when Jaden Thompson-Brissett’s shot hit a post.
