JOHNSON’S ON TARGET TO SEE OFF THE AMBERS

GABRIEL Johnson popped up with the only goal as second-placed Guiseley maintained their fine run of form by edging out Basford United.
Guiseley started brightly and could have scored with Jack Emmett going close with just over ten minutes gone.
His effort looked to be going in but Basford keeper Saul Deeney showed excellent reflexes to ensure the scores stayed level.
McKeal Abdullah had a great opportunity to give United the advantage as they grew into the game. His effort, though, was dragged wide.
