FIRST-HALF finishes from Nyren Clunis and Nathan Jeche saw strugglers Hastings United end an impromptu fornightly break with another loss, as postponed fixtures meant their second game of 2025 was another anticlimactic defeat by playoff-chasing opposition.
Cray sat ninth, level on points with eighth-placed Chatham and Folkestone in tenth, some 12 points adrift of the play-off places and needing to continue their commendable recent form.
