■ SAM MERSON scored the only goal as Hanworth Villa edged out ten-man Ascot United.
The visitors saw an effort chalked off for offside inside two minutes, although chances were at a premium until Ascot’s Anas Igozouln and Villa’s Abdullah Javaid forced decent saves from the respective keepers late on in the first half.
