■ EVESHAM United’s brilliant start to 2025 continued thanks to Reegan Messenger grabbing the only goal of the game away at Willand Rovers.
Evesham were awarded a free kick just on the edge of the box, and after Rhys Bennett’s initial shot was kept out by the wall, he hooked in a cross to which Messenger nodded in, giving his side the lead.
United came close to doubling their advantage from a long-range effort by Josh Barlow. However, a top-drawer save by Willand keeper George Burton kept the ball out.
