GOALS at the start of each half helped steer Barwell to victory over title-chasing Stratford, a result that boosts the Leicestershire side’s hopes of staying up.
The opener came after just nine minutes when recent signing Ash Chambers rose to glance Tyrell Waite’s cross beyond the visitors’ debutant keeper Jenson Kilroy and into the net.
The Bards had a glorious chance to level just three minutes later when Callum Ebanks lifted a shot over the keeper, only for him to miss the target.
