■ RAYNES Park Vale delivered a welcome first win for new boss Hayden Bird after coming from behind to beat Horndean.
Omarr Lawson’s deflected strike with eight minutes left deceived goalkeeper Hugh Scott to settle the outcome in the visitors’ favour.
Goalkeeper Max Foulkes starred for the Vale in the first half, saving from Zack Willett and Liam Webber, but he could not prevent Sam Ashton putting the hosts ahead after 37 minutes.
