■ A SPECTACULAR late volley from Wayne Whitfield snatched a point for Newton Aycliffe at Carlton.
Carlton dominated the first half and took the lead when captain Niall Davie prodded home from a yard after Aycliffe failed to clear a Nat Watson free-kick.
And they doubled their lead when Davie turned provider for Watson as the midfielder nodded home.
Newton Aycliffe scored within two minutes of the restart as Dale Elgie scrambled the ball over the line.
