■ A classic game of two halves as Basildon United raced into a 3-0lead within 37 minutes.
The Bees’ first came after Nidal Berri snapped up a rebounded effort in the 17th minute.
The second and third were scored by Nathan Best. He bundled home in the 34th minute before converting following a fast break three minutes later.
Walthamstow came out strong after the beak when Louie Johnson finished well before later converting his second from close range after Bees keeper Max Spence made a penalty save.
