In new-look Lancing’s first home game since the appointment of Billy Wood, there was a surprising twist in the tale as three ex-Lancers – James Dillion, Harry Heath and Alex Laing – lined up for the visitors.
While the trio did not play a major role in their side’s triumph, their mere presence left a sour taste in the mouth for Lancing’s fans after a week of walkouts at Culver Road.
