WELWYN’s on-loan pair from National League neighbours St Albans, Charlie McDonald and Nick Ralfe, combined for the only goal in this hard-fought clash on a sticky Herns Way pitch.
McDonald’s clever back-heel three minutes before half time opened up the visitors’ defence, allowing Ralfe to fire the winner into the bottom corner.
