SPALDING dropped two crucial points, keeping them four points off fifth-placed Stamford.
However, it is a good point for the visitors, who are now four points clear of the relegation zone with just a handful of games to go.
In a mundane first half, Alvechurch had the first of the game when Krystian Pearce’s header released Callum Sullivan. He flashed the ball across the face of the goal, which Spalding somehow managed to hook the ball over the crossbar.
