REDUCED to nine men by two dubious red cards, Hanwell showed tremendous character in keeping the deficit down until the 90th minute.
The visitors, spurred on by the travelling fans, started brightly and had a sustained appeal for a penalty turned down when Hanwell goalkeeper Sam Beasant challenged Stanley in the area.
The Peacocks dominated the first 20 minutes, but Hanwell soon came into the game, with Chris Regis and Joe Wilson twice combining to create chances.
