GEORDIES HIT A HISTORIC LEAGUE HIGH AFTER GLORY

HANWELL TOWN secured the highest ever finish in their history by narrowly defeating Plymouth Parkway under the west London sunshine.
A quiet opening quarter was broken by Parkway snatching a lead, as Matt Wright was able to prod the ball home after a looping cross in to the box was missed by everyone and converted from close range.
Hanwell then countered immediately, and Parkway keeper Alex Rutter had to stand tall to tip over Kam English’s shot from just inside the penalty area.
