Aldershot Town skipper Aaron Jones says he was “buzzing” for the fans after he lifted the FA Trophy following his side’s victory over Spennymoor Town.
“It is amazing to have a moment like this because in ‘92 they reformed as Aldershot FC after going out of business and then in 2013 they were in administration again,” said Jones, 31.
“The supporters have been to hell and back, so to give them such a moment today and some joy in the sunshine in the most iconic ground in the country just feels incredible, and you could see what it meant to them all.
