CHIEFS LOCKED IN BOARD RIFT

YATE Town’s preparations for life back at Step 3 have been upended by both sides of a bitter boardroom spat quitting the club this week.
Chairman Mark Thorne announced on Tuesday that his position with the Southern League South champions had been made “untenable” on the back of an email from predecessor, fellow director and stadium co-owner Colin Pick.
A fan backlash followed with the club scheduling an open meeting for Thursday but it was subsequently taken behind closed doors.
