DESPITE two late goals from Macclesfield, it was not enough to recover from Manchester City U21’s dominant display in the first 67 minutes as John Rooney’s side fell to a narrow defeat.
It took 14 minutes for City to go ahead thanks to a strike from Justin Oboavwoduo. The attacker dispatched a shot into a bottom corner of Max Dearnley’s goal after a great show of skill and awareness from Reigan Heskey on the left flank.
