AFC SUDBURY began the new season with a win and a clean sheet in a hard-earned victory over visitors Redditch United.
The home side dominated the opening period and could have been in front as early as the second minute when Kyran Clements scuffed a shot having been set up by Callum Page.
Tyrese Warmington in the Redditch goal produced a fine save following a Clements header, but he was helpless in the 16th minute when Clements flicked home a Marcel Lewis corner to give the home side the lead.
