RUNCORN made a per-start to their league ■fect campaign with a deserved triumph against Atherton.
Runcorn started briskly. After 30 minutes ex-Collier Scott Bakkor was quickest to react to a ball which had rattled the crossbar and he made no mistake.
Colls improved after the break, an acrobatic attempt from Kielen Adams was rebuffed by keeper Bayleigh Passant. Danny Lafferty thought he had equalised but his close range finish was overruled for offside.
