■ FOR A second week running, Boldmere – largely a group of strangers recruited in the close season – faced a promoted team who had kept their squad together and were, consequently, the more clinical side.
After an equally contested first 40 minutes, Cam Collins put the visitors ahead. Mikes equalised seven minutes after the interval and went in front thanks to Kory Burke’s header. Borough’s calmness paid off in the final quarter of an hour, as Boldmere seemed to run out of steam.
