HAYLOCK HAULS IN LATE IN WIN

LOWESTOFT Town snatched a dramatic late winner to edge past Cambridge City in a sweltering season opener decided deep into stoppage time.
Despite the heat, the game began at a lively tempo, though clear chances were few early on. Cambridge’s Solomon Ofori had the first real opportunity, but visiting keeper Ben Self raced out to block bravely.
The deadlock was broken in the 16th minute when Lowestoft countered swiftly, Mitchell Belmar’s low cross turned in at the far post by Aaron Bullent.
