Who doesn’t love this time of the year when football finally returns? The 2025-26 season is up and running and, with it, brings plenty of optimism for the months ahead.
What I don’t look forward to, however, is something we’re guaranteed to see: Crowdfunders for injured players.
This is not to jump on people and criticise but injuries are inevitable.
The messages you’ll see on these social media posts from players and clubs saying, ‘Come back stronger’ or ‘Best wishes, bro’ are absolutely genuine and heartfelt.
