CHELMSFORD CITY hit Step 4 Hertford Town for six with a professional display.
The Clarets impressed from the off but were frustrated until midway through the first half. Ricky Holmes robbed Blues player-manager Ben Herd and fed Lyle Taylor, who was on his first start for the Clarets, to dink over the onrushing James Callan.
Taylor could have scored from 40 yards but Callan denied the striker’s lob with a world-class save.
