HAMPTON & Richmond Borough were victors against Step 4 AFC Croydon Athletic in a well-contested battle.
The first 20 minutes captured the essence of a cup tie, with the away side accruing three yellow cards and taking the game on. Both sides created chances with the physicality being an apt leveller.
The Rams took a shock lead in the 24th minute as Kadell Daniel’s free-kick was blocked as far as captain Luke Dreher, who tucked it away.
