MARGATE earned their first league win of the season beating newly-promoted VCD Athletic.
The visitors were the quickest of the mark but failed to covert chances and they were made to pay when the Gate were awarded a penalty which Ibrahim Oulatade stepped up to stroke into the net after 40 minutes.
Gate started the second half with a bang when Henry Young marked his Harts-down Park return with a great strike into the top corner in 50th minute.
