A MAIDEN international call-up followed by a first senior goal – it’s fair to say Jesse Gomez has enjoyed a groundbreaking start to the new season.
The 19-year-old celebrated a first call-up to the Gibraltar squad last month by bagging his first goal for Blyth Spartans in a 2-0 win at Garforth Town just 48 hours later.
Straight after that win in West Yorkshire, Gomez and Spartans team-mate Paddy McClafferty linked up with their Gibraltar team-mates ahead of a friendly meeting with Albania and a World Cup qualifier aga...
