RAIN ruined this FA Trophy tie between Runcorn Linnets and Bury, with the match abandoned before the second half could get underway.
Any prospects of a restart quickly faded after a heavy downpour during the interval left the pitch waterlogged and unplayable, much to the frustration of a four-figure crowd who had braved the conditions.
