■ ALEX Marsh scored a brace and Temi Akinbusoye got the other as Biggleswade FC booked their place in the third round qualifying with a fine Friday-night victory over Hitchin Town.
FC took the lead when Temi Akinbusoye – a thorn in Hitchin’s side all night – was brought down in the box and Alex Marsh stepped up against his old club to send the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Marsh doubled his and FC’s tally four minutes before half time when he whipped a low free-kick around the wall and into the corner of the net.
