IN-FORM Spennymoor Town recorded their fifth successive win in all competitions as they swept aside Southport in blustery conditions at the Brewery Field.
Glen Taylor’s goal just before half-time set Graeme Lee’s men on their way before Junior Mondal’s close-range finish gave them breathing space.
Midfielder Tom Pugh drew the first save from Southport keeper Chris Renshaw as his drilled strike was parried, while Taylor came close when he powered a shot just too high.
