■ BECKENHAM thumped East Grinstead to claim their first league win of the season, leaving the visitors rooted to the bottom of the table.
George Porter set up Steve Townsend to open the scoring after 24 minutes, and five minutes later it was two as Freddie Nyhus sliced through the away defence for Mark Marshall to finish coolly.
After 40 minutes, Nyhus broke from an East Grinstead attack to smash home the third, before Townsend saw a penalty saved by Wasps keeper Rex Porter before half-time.
