BOREHAM Wood avoided any potential cup upset as they eventually came out on top against Eastbourne Borough.
In their first home match since his passing, there was a minute’s silence prior to kick off for former Borough player Billy Vigar.
Once the action got underway, Boreham Wood – unbeaten in the National League since the opening day of the season – enjoyed plenty of the ball, but were met by a stern Eastbourne defence who restricted their higher league opponents.
